How to set up QR table service
Create the location, add the tables, connect Stripe, print the codes.
Updated Oct 2026.
To set up a table for QR service, create the restaurant location, add each table, connect Stripe, and print a tent card or write an NFC tag. Staff open the inbox on a phone. Guests scan to order, pay, or request service. No app for guests. The first 15 days are free.
How do I set up QR table service?
- 1
Create the location
Open a restaurant account and name the location. The first 15 days are free, and a card is required to start.
- 2
Add the tables
Enter the tables you serve. ReferLift makes one code per table so the ticket already names it.
- 3
Connect Stripe
Connect the restaurant's own Stripe account before you turn ordering and pay on. Service requests can run before that connection is finished.
- 4
Print tent cards or write NFC tags
Print a tent card for each table, or write the same link to an NFC tag. Keep the QR quiet zone clear.
- 5
Staff open the inbox on a phone
The shared inbox is a phone browser page. New orders and service requests show the table. Staff mark On it, then Done.
What do you need on the first day?
What are the trial terms?
The restaurant trial is 15 days free, then $79 per location per month. A card is required before the trial starts, and you can cancel anytime. Paid table orders add 0.5% of food and tax on the restaurant's Stripe account. The fee is never taken from tips and is not shown to the guest. The price is not per table. ReferLift is not a POS.
What materials do I need?
- 1
A phone for staff
Any phone that opens the inbox in a browser. A dedicated handset is not required.
- 2
Tent cards or NFC tags
One printed card or one written tag per table. The link is the same one ReferLift generates.
- 3
A Stripe account
The restaurant's own account, for ordering and pay. Requests can be tested before it is connected.
- 4
The menu
Dish names and prices, when you turn ordering on. Photos are optional.
