ReferLift and Toast QR for table service

A service request is not an order-and-pay QR.

Toast Mobile Order & Pay lets a guest scan a table QR code to order and pay. Toast says that flow produces an average 10% revenue increase. That is Toast's claim, not a ReferLift result. It is a paid add-on with quote pricing and card-not-present rates. A 2021 merchant agreement reported by Reforming Retail showed $69 per month per location. That figure is old. It is not Toast's current price.

ReferLift's table QR does not take an order and does not take a payment. The guest asks for water, a server, napkins, or the bill. The bill request does not calculate or collect the check. The restaurant plan is $39 per location per month after 15 days free, with a card required to start.

Where ReferLift differs

ReferLift is the call waiter button: fewer trips across the room for water or the check, with the table already on the alert. The price is published. Guests do not install an app. A hotel on the same account is a separate published plan, not a point-of-sale module.

ReferLift will not raise a ticket average by taking the order on the phone, because it does not take the order. Do not credit ReferLift with Toast's 10% revenue claim.

Where Toast fits better

Choose Toast Mobile Order & Pay when the restaurant already uses Toast and the guest should order and pay at the table. ReferLift cannot do that. Ask Toast for the current add-on price and the card-not-present rate. Ignore the 2021 $69 figure except as history.

A cafe that only wants a refill request, not mobile ordering, is the ReferLift side of this page. The cafe write-up stays on that narrower job.
